Wine

Onannon Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir is a blend of Mornington Peninsula sites, typically including the winery's original Red Hill vineyard and a site at Shoreham.

The fruit is handpicked and cooled overnight. Some of the Red Hill parcel is left as whole bunches, while the remainder is destemmed.

After 3-4 days of cold soaking, fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts. Post ferment the wine rests on skins for a further week. It then undergoes natural malolactic fermentation before being racked and sulphured.

Pale red, Onannon Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir has a juicy stone fruit core with whole bunch spice and a fine tannin finish. Cellaring potential is seven years.
